Bad news just arrived; the MOP scales were badly cracked as Matt was tightening the hinge pin prior to shipping. The good news is the razor is still mine, I just have to pick another set of scales, with mammoth ivory or mammoth bark. It's not the same, but not much anyone can do about it.

Thanked: 4822Dan that is quite unfortunate. I would go for the ivory personally.

Thanked: 4822All aesthetics. I just think it is a very nice product. I do a lot of my razors in bone, the next best to mammoth ivory.

Thanked: 4822The bark is not as nice from where my point of view. Not to say it is not nice, just not my first pick.
