Bad news just arrived; the MOP scales were badly cracked as Matt was tightening the hinge pin prior to shipping. The good news is the razor is still mine, I just have to pick another set of scales, with mammoth ivory or mammoth bark. It's not the same, but not much anyone can do about it.

All aesthetics. I just think it is a very nice product. I do a lot of my razors in bone, the next best to mammoth ivory.

The bark is not as nice from where my point of view. Not to say it is not nice, just not my first pick.

+1 on that. I would go with the ivory. I have done some nice ones in bone also but if you have ivory available, I would go for that. Originally Posted by RezDog
