    Looks like a "vintage half rescale" - the back one is black horn and the front is mystery wood.

    Isn't that bocote? So you've got one horn scale and one bocote? Sounds pretty cool since the wood would compliment the horn nicely. What was you're reasoning for it?

    Ta-Da the W&B Bow with the cracks in the heel is Shave Ready Was a great shave as well. Just a bit of getting used to the heel being out there a ways

    Maybe it's bocote... I really don't know. I'm not a wood guy. I didn't do the repair/rescale; that was the way the razor was when I got it. Since the scales are comfortable to handle, functional, and safe, having them replaced is not a priority, but I will probably have them redone at some point.

    I think you mean the scales made by Buddel (btw-he is also a member in this forum for a long time).
    I produced only 3 scales in the last weeks for my own straight razors.
    These scales were my FIRST and it is necessary for me to learn more techniques.
