This is my little W&B. It's in immaculate shape though, never seen a spot of rust.

Here's an interesting piece - W&B 'American Razor' with a rather curious 'crooked' monkey tail. Very comfortable in hand.

Wow, quite the slant toward the heel, eh? Bet that's a bear to hone, least ways would be for me! LOL

Beauty of a razor man, beauty!

Can't believe I haven't put mine in here yet. Here is one that Maxi did up for me. It's a 6/8" Hollow ground W&B, streaked horn scales and a bone wedge.Name: W&B, Streaked Horn, 1.jpg

My newest W&B, a full (and I mean FULL, heaviest wedge I ever honed) wedge, super old (1850's?) basically a very crude, rough, thick and heavy old wedge.

It basically took 3 days to restore it to this condition. It only had some patina, very few pits and a nasty tang. 2 days in the brass polisher, one evening to scale it (the blade has a grind lean to the right side, making scale selection harder). I had to DMT the edge to get out some nasty waves from it's previous life which totally removed bevel in many areas. I worked for probably 3-3 1/2 hours just to get an even bevel. After that she honed up wonderfully. It shaved great! It got its maiden test within 1 hour of finishing it. Smooth as glass.. These big old wedges give very little feedback.

Thanks to Sharptonn, whom I made a trade with to get a really nice 9/16 Spike to complete my 7 day set with, who threw in a bunch of blades along with it, all wedges, that needed restoration and scales. This was one of them, and IMO the best of the bunch!! Thanks Tom!!!

Most likely this razor at some point had some chip at the toe which was honed out. Too bad, but still a beauty! Is it 7/8, near wedge?

Don't worry, you still have a beautiful razor. Just compare yours with one on page 32

I also don't see where corrective honing was performed on that blade...
