A couple of newer acquisitions, rolling along with the help of some good friends. Hand-made collars by Tuzi!
Brass collars and silver pins. Digging these!

A 17 Friodur rescaled in Bog Oak with a genuine bullet-lead wedge by our own outback (Mike).

    Default Henckels 59 1/2

I just received this Henckels Friodur 59 1/2 in the mail. This is my first Henckels razor and measuring 4/8, is the smallest razor I own.

This is kind of an odd one.
It is a 72 in carbon steel with the same decorated spine found on the 472's.
I have seen a lot of Friodurs that were 472's and a couple in carbon steel,
But this is the first I have seen of a 72.

No it came out of the US, well it originally came from Germany, but I got it from a seller in the US. ;-)

I also recently got this one into some scales.
It is a very old Henckels. I have not honed it yet.
It is hard to find them this old. They have been in business since 1731
But the really old blades just are not easy to find. Perhaps they were loved and used more than collected and coveted.

Hey all! I have recently jumped into wet shaving with DE safety razors. Straights have always intrigued me so I have my first on coming in the mail. In the meantime, I happened upon a Henckels and thought I would pick it up. I should probably have more knowledge before I make vintage purchases, but I tried looking up the 410 on it and it showed a few models that were similar but different. I could not find anything on this one. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
