Meet Lewis
I don't normally name my razors, except when I nick myself, and then it's usually talking about it's maternal lineage....
This one came with a name already. it's a National Barber Supply that I restored with African Blackwood scales and a blued the tang. Inscribed on the blade was the name of a previous owner, "Lewis M Steidel".
I'm waiting for one of you to chime in, now, and tell me about this grizzled old barber who used to give your dad a shave and a haircut, named Lew.

The top razor is stamped "Barbers Delight" However it is a regrind of a Robeson Suredge as you can still see "The razor that fits your face" on the blade as well as the hammer marks that didn't get ground off (under the scales )

Man, another thread I must revive!! This one has not gotten any attention in a while, so here is my submission.
Here is my Shapleigh "The Shapleigh Barber's" that I just recently finished restoring and rescaling and honing.
It shaves like a house afire, and the first curved spine I was able to hone on my own. I love this razor!! This was a recent submission from the SOTD forum.
Enjoy!!
