Here's the description, FWIW:

Scales are original natural material that is not bone. They have been restored by taking them apart, sanding and polishing them and finally re-pinning with stacked brass washers. A few very tiny flea bites on otherwise perfect scales. You can see the natural lines in a few of the pics. Fancy pins in copper and brass, and original pewter wedge.
Sounds like ivory to me. Seller's can't say "genuine ivory" on ebay, so they try to get around that any way they can. I usually pick some off term like "Red Cedar" or "Glass" to avoid the hassle of my listing being removed. Rescaled or not, it still looks nice and I feel certain they are ivory.
Heres 4 of my JR's. I love these razors a lot, maybe better than my 3 W&B. These 4 will never leave my rotation..... ever, that's how much I like them. :)

Rogers was the first functional straight that I purchased, about a year ago... sadly I couldn't use it because it was in need of a hone. I did however just get it back from getting fixed up. going to have the first shave with it tonight.

Here is mine. I decided to rescale it since I didn't like the original plain black scales. I actually managed to save the collars for once. Fantastic shaver. This one will stay with me.
