    Hi, Leon,
As you say, there are a really few Fillys for hair cutting that features the rubber band and also the engraved blade.
    Thanks for your appreciation.
    Regards from Spain.

    Default My Two Cents

This is the only Filarmonica I have at the moment. I let my barber use it, he loved it. I wiped the Camelia oil off to photograph it so that means I will be shaving with it in the morning.

    I need several more.....

Fillys are specials but, do you think that we love them due to a nostalgic reason too? Can one of today's top notch razors be as good as Fillys? On the other hand, aren't things as they used to be?
    Cheers.

    Default Fillys

We love them because they shave like a dream. I have a barber named Frank from Venezuela who is 75 years old and shaves with a Filly everyday of his life. He has some fairly old razors but he had no complaints about my brand new Filly razor.

You don't have to pull a Filly down your face. You merely have to guide it. The weight of the razor does the work. Most guys shave with a 5/8 full hollow but a Filly is a different experience.

Razors are a matter of personal choice and one of my favorite choices is a Filly........................

    Dear Jerry,
Thanks for your comments. I never doubted about Fillys qualities. In addition to this, I understand that you must use good tools that also make you feel good when you look at yourself in the mirror.
Frank is an example of Fillys performance (logical side of the brain) and I have four and still have no idea of SR shaving, but I bought some of them when Filarmónica was still opened (emotional side of the brain).
It is difficult that both aspects merge in one as it happens with Fillys.
But my dead line is, is there any other SR brand of today as good as Fillys? Should we use our Fillys because they are as good as others and also cooler? Should we use our Fillys because there is nothing like them regarding quality?
    Cheers.

Removed 4mm chip on razor. That such a result ...
    2,5 hours of work.
Your opinion, properly whittle down the back?
    Sorry for my English ...

Looks not bad. But strong hone wear and chip on the edge.
