    Nice wood! Whats the go with the blade? Someones had a bite out of it, looks good does it serve any practical purpose or just for looks?

    I'm guessing it looks like that because it has been saved a horrible death by Major Chip in the Blade. I could be wrong.

    Spent some of my younger years in the Burdiken. Ayr to be precise.

    Yeh it was my first restore and scales but yes the blade had a crack in it just before where the scallop stops, so after an easy negotiation with the vender who didnt realise the crack either it cost $8, so went for it,
    it does shave is a PITA to hone as it is very thin and flexy, also I have been contemplation making it into a kamisori
    Saved,
    to shave another day.
