Thanked: 0My first ever straight razor, I picked up this Bengall 3/4" off eBay. Despite the shoddy bent-wire replacement pin, I was pleasantly suprised by the condition of this razor, probably means I will have caught the bug now :-P I'm not sure if I have the courage to shave with one of these yet, for now I'm interested in getting it looking pretty and in shave-ready condition. Hope I qualify for becoming one of the Band of Brothers :-)

Thanked: 1587Welcome to SRP! Yes, that looks in pretty good nick. If you do end up shaving with it you could do much worse!

I would be remiss not to add my recent Bengallicious bad boy.

Thanked: 1587OK, here are my Bengall "shavers" - the ones I regularly use in my shaving rotation - plus a little narrow one I have used once but thought it was cute so included in the pics anyway. Perhaps we could call this one Bengall's Baby Brother or something equally alliterative. A couple of these I have posted before, so apologies for the double ups.
At some point in the future I will get into the storage room and dig out my "retirement" Bengalls - the ones I have in storage for when, after the rabid hype of this thread kicks in, I retire and sell them for a gajillion dollars!! Mwah-ha-haaaaaa!!!
James.
PS I have noticed that if you make a photo black and white it not only looks more arty, it also makes it look as though you are a good photographer!!<This signature intentionally left blank>

Here is my newest a little singing blade shaves wickedly ,when honing did the thumb pad test and could pluck the edge and it would ring.It makes a similar sound when stropping.
