I am interested in finding out if the one I have (with "Napoleon" engraving) is the rare one you are seeking. And, Bigspendur, I have dead-bolted doors, electric fencing around my house and automatic weapons, so stay away!

By the way, just kidding about owning one ... just trying to ruffle Bigspendur's feathers ... but SERIOUSLY, would really like to see a pic.
oh you little devil... I was feeling so sorry for my wallet knowing that Bigspendur will read the post also. Amazing as this is I was relief actually to read through the end. ha ha. My wallet is still in shock thinking that both me and Bigspendur may find the same napoleon at one time.

You know, I was thinking when I pulled my little stunt that folks would actually be relieved when I said that I was kidding. I know when I see something I really want, and is expensive, I almost wish it wasn't there ... the dreaming is much, much easier than the paying for.

IME it is the thrill of the hunt. Once I get the obscure object of desire it isn't long before the thrill is gone and it is on to the next.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Looks like someone took tha poor thing through an electric knife sharpener.....boy I hope thats not the case and it can be saved. I really hope it can be honed up as it will make for an awsome shaver. There are 2 DD in my collection right now, a SatinWedge(awsome shaver!) and a GoldEdge that I'm re-scaling at the moment(factory scales were broken). Let us know how it turns out.

Congrats, Bunny ... I am still waiting on my first ... good luck getting 'er honed up for a great shave!

Also, a question for the DD experts ... I have a "Gold Ring" straight, and if it weren't for the Gold Ring brass inlay script in the cracked ice scales, the scales would look just like a DD. Anyone got info on the Gold Ring brand, and if it were one of the DD stable in their distribution channel, maybe?
