This is a Dubl Duck Satinedge 6/8 that I got recently from Thomas Kronenberg from his NOS stock of rarities:
Raritten Vorschau
I was, let’s say, very interested to get a Dubl Duck one day.
Yeah, one day. Well you know how this RAD works, once I laid my eyes on this NOS Satinedge I hesitated a moment or two and then placed the order.
It wasn’t cheap, but hey, if you want something…
The razor looks great and all is original complete with the scales and the inlays, which I think are beautiful.
The scales show their age with crackle around the inlays but still are intact.
Also there is some oxidation and some cleaning marks around the rivet.
But since it all is minor I leave it at that. No restoration necessary yet.
The blade is pristine and has no wear, it only has the honing marks of T.K. and he put a lovely sweet edge on it.
The embossed logos are perfect and I am almost affraid to use the razor and maybe smudge them.
But, I do like to use my razors and when I gave this new one a first run..oh, boy! SWEET!
I now know the secret of its success her on the SRP forum and rightly so.
Thanks,
Paul Jansen

Well Jamie, you might want to ask Thomas Kronenberg.
When I asked about this one, he wrote me that he had already sold this black-scaled one and said he still had one with yellow scales. When I said okay to the yellow one he eventually send me the black one! So maybe he still has the yellow one for sale.
Good luck.
Regards,
Paul

Some beautiful Ducks there chaps. Love the quality of your photos Paul J. I've just given in to me RAD too and taken delivery of my first Duck, a beautifully mint Goldenedge with all the gold plating still in tact. Took her for a spin last night and what a sweet shave. They certainly live upto the hype.
