Sooo, did anyone ever found that highly sought after Napoleon duck?

I believe that I've seen one, yet maybe I'm confusing it with another Napoleon.
There are some lists of many Ducks made, but those lists are incomplete. 10Pups has a "Redhead".. Wasnt on the lists I saw.
With all the hype about Ducks, and all the people who say Ducks are over-hyped, I still figured there would be a more active Duck thread.
I've started keeping my eye open for them, though I will not have the money to buy any new blades anytime soon, especislly since they are still pricey for clean ones.
I'm trying to find the time to hunt in the wilds for blades, maybe ill stumble upon a salesmans display! Lol
Anyway, I think that Ducks and related productions are a great group of blades to collect, being that they had many variations, and there are plenty of clean ones, and then those very obscure blades..
I have a couple manufacturers that I specifically collect, yet the number of models they produced were very limited, which detracts from the fun!“You must unlearn what you have learned.”

I had at one point I think 4 or 5 Dubl Ducks, some nice one's, a very nice the Goldedge, Wonderedge, Satin Wedge, and two Reapers.
The Goldedge, at least mine, believe they are extra, extra hollow ground razors, tissue thin blades, very flexible, and that blade was brutal, would cut me every time I used it, always managed to bite me. The Wonderedge was a little better, but was always an 3 coffee, eyes wide open, slow process not to get bit.
The Satin Wedge, what a great 5/8 wedge, fantastic razor with a great grind.
Finally, I did a 3 pass shave with the Goldedge, and it was at that point I released my Ducks out of the Abyss I had them imprisoned in.
Found a Reaper in the B/S/T about a year ago at a great price, made sure I cleaned it up and put some Tuf-Glide on, no cell rot still to this day, and enjoy using that razor occasionally. Still surprised how the pics of the Reaper can be deceiving, it is really quite an overall small razor.
But there were some epic threads with Chevhead and Pups and the Ducks - Chev had so many custom and modified Ducks, all quite beautiful razors IMO. He did some Ducks with a shiny black scale material, with the brass in-lays - spectacular looking razors - think he has about 1,000,000 of them....

Thanked: 1184I bought one and it was sitting on the counter while I was putting my wallet away. All of a sudden this mermaid comes riding up on a unicorn. Needless to say I got distracted when she invited me out for a crab dinner and when I went with her I left the dang razor on the counter. Went back the next day and the shopkeeper told me an alien abducted it. Sooooo close !
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Sounds like he had a Goldedge, which had gold wash on the tang. One of my favorite blades.
Cheers.
