I gave my first Boker away to my FIL before this thread started. I keep hearing that I'll get it back along with the TM red latigo strop since he sliced off one of his finger pads with it when he was getting ready to strop it. It healed up very well, but he's now scared sh!tless of the thing.
Anyhow, I just grabbed this King Cutter at the flea market, cleaned it up last night and honed it. My Norton needs lapping, but I think I still got a good edge on it and am giving it the shave test today. I'm glad to officially be back in The Boker Brotherhood!

Very nice find! I always get excited when I find a nice straight at a flea market, antique shop or auction for a song. I wish the feeling would last but I find it just makes me more anxious to look for more. Enjoy your new find.

Introductions all around
Hi all,
I'm new to SRP and the Forum. I'm posting here because I just won my first Boker on *Bay. I will post better pics as soon as I have the blade in my hand. From the auction pics it doesn't look like it will need much work at all. (here's to hoping).
If anyone in Ottawa Ontario knows of a good place to get it well honed I should would appreciate the info. I'm also look to do some research on the company and with some luck track down some period info on it. I've already found some basic history from the compnay web site and some material based on their knives. But not enough (I'm a bit of a research junky).
I look forward to trying the razor and getting to know you all better.
Cheers
Karl
