CarrieM has contacted Boker and requested assistance on identifying the scale material. I am posting the correspondence below, only the email addresses have been changed to protect everyone.
Thank you very much Ernst from Boker!

Hello, Karen,
you are correct, these are genuine ivory handles. If all of them look like this without cracks you are a lucky lady. With some thin oil you can prevent the carbon blades from getting rusty again. The fact that they eventually turn dark cannot be helped.

Thank you for the offer to assist Ernst. Here is the best picture I have at the moment. If this is not detailed enough please let me know and I will attempt to get a better picture of the scales. I think they may be polished ivory but I would like to confirm that.
Regards
Karen

Dear Karen,
we are pretty sure we can identify the handle material of your razors.
All we need is a foto as clear as possible of your set. If all 7 razors are alike, obviously the foto of one piece is the best.
Thank you Ernst Felix“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

Thanked: 416Hey guys I don't know if you guys have noticed but the folks over at the butcher shop are working on a club signature. It looks pretty good but since we are the first and oldest club do we want to let these guys out shine us? so if any of you computer whizzes out there are up for a challenge I think a snazzy new signature might help us keep our heads up when the neighbors come a calling.
