    Just put "yasuki steel" in the search box, there are loads more people more knowledgeable than myself but yasuki steel is made by Hitachi Metals using iron sand. For razors white steel and blue steel is mainly used. What that means to end uses is that white steel will take an edge more easily and blue steel will hold its edge longer.
