Beautiful frame back, Phrank. Stefan honed an NOS Schoenburg that I picked up, and it's now one of my favorite shavers.

Thanked: 2591I doubt it was made in Germany, there are many Japanese framebacks made by different Japanese companies. I think that particular style razor was nothing but Japanese invention if you will. We have not seen that style offered by Solingen/Sheffield/ French makers.
The way the blade is made is a combo of the stiffness of a heavy grind razor with the agility and thin grind of a hollow ground blade.Stefan
