    One thing I don't like about this razor: the large part of the tang covered by the scales when the razor is open. For the sake of comparison I pictured it with a random razor of my rotation. That bit of the scales really gets in the way when stropping. Any thoughts?

    That is common in Wacker shoulderless razors. the best is to unpin it if you can. this allows you to reduce the width of the scales in addtion to removing the excess extending past the pin. If not tape the blade and use various grits of wet dry sandpaper, 0000 steel wool and then finish on a low RPM wool pad buffer wheel, treat with mineral oil and a final polish with a nice floor wax and soft cloths. Others may have more efficient methods. Good luck
