And YOU stefanosup!-The pictures of your latest kamisori I did not need to see! That thing is GORGEOUS! I don't even shave with kamisoris but now I need a Mastro Livi kamisori! That's gonna be tough on the wallet and it's YOUR fault! ;)

Stefano's kamisori is an example of how Mastro Livi art can be gorgeous! I have a couple of Mastro's kamisori and I am very happy with them but by seeing Stefano's kamisori it makes me want another one!
And, yes, of course it is Stefano's fault! :argue: :rofl2:

I guess we all have the very same problem here! It's only money and Mastro Livi's art is worth it, money is temporary and Mastro Livi razor is forever. And we all wish we could just do it....

If you really want a rust resistant steel, I guess you should choose a stainless steel and Mastro Livi has many of them, including Damasteel, a damascus stainless steel, very keen and effective in shaving.
However, if you really want the best artistic expression from Mastro Livi, I think you should get a carbon damascus steel personally made and forged by the Mastro himself. It is however a carbon steel and, as such, it is prone to rust and you should properly wipe it after use and use few drops of oils in order to protect it. Just like any other carbon steel razor.

+1 here, I can wholeheartedly recommend taking up Antonello on his very generous offer. I did last year and they are memories I will cherish for ever.
I've got both a Damasteel and Livi's own Carbon Damascus Steel. The shave off the carbon is quite simply breathtaking.It is by far my most favourite razor and one I look forward to user once a week.

I enjoyed my trip to Perugia so much that I'm hoping to visit again in September this year to see Antonello and Mastro Livi again.

Thank you so much Jody! You know I too enjoyed the time we had at Mastro Livi workshop as well as the time we had while enjoying Umbrian wines and food. Of course, I will be very happy to meet you again when you will come to Perugia again in September. And I know Mastro Livi too will be very happy to see you again!

This is the my new Mastro Livi's straight razor. 8/8 damascus steel with nichel and juniper wood handle. This morning the first shave that is in the SOTD. What can I tell you? Fantastic for me! Juniper wood is very scented and when you shave the beard is a pleasure to smell the forest to join soap.

Just another stunning beauty added to your collection. What impresses me is the grinding of the blade. Completely hand made and extra full hollow ground! Simply amazing!
I have just nine Mastro Livi razors in my collection and it is clear I cannot compete with yours which counts, I guess, about fifteen or more. :)

Thank you to everybody for the compliments. This blade is really special with a grind that is like my hair! In this moment I've in my Mastro Livi's special box 16 straight razors, 1 kamisori and 1 snake razor made by the inimitable man of masterpiece.
