Mastro Livi Razor Club
I have decided to start the "Mastro Livi Razor Club" which will be an SRP members collection of razors made by Mastro Lido Livi from Italy.
Everyone is welcome to post pictures, facts and tell stories of how you acquired a Mastro razor.
This is a pic of my three Mastro's and their boxes.
Mastro Livi Buffalo Horn with three holes.
The blade is 8/8 wide and is made of Blue Tonge Damascus steel and has file work on the spine and shank. The shank is signed “Mastro Livi”. The scales are made of Buffalo Horn and have three holes in them. The scales are also signed “Mastro Livi”.
Mastro Livi Stag Horn
The blade is 17/16 wide. The mark side of the shank is inscribed with “Mastro Livi ATS34”. The pile side of the shank is inscribed with “made in Italy”. The blade is made from ATS34 steel and has a French tip with file work on the spine, shank and tang.
The scales are a rustic Stag Horn with three pins and the signature of “Mastro Livi”.
Mastro Livi Olive Wood
The blade is 8/8 wide and the blade is made of ATS 34 steel. The pile side of the shank is inscribed with “Mastro Livi made in Italy”. The mark side of the shank is inscribed with “RWL 34 ATS”. The scales are Olive Wood. Inscribed on the front scales is “Mastro Livi for Straight Razor Place”.

I only have one, but she is a "sweet" shaver and I like her very much. I got tired of hearing everyone talk about them so....thanks to SRD I now adopted my very own. It is a 6/8 Silvano Damaskus with Abalone scales. The pattern on the blade is much nicer then what comes up in the pics.
Having Fun Shaving

You do realize that this will be a very exclusive club, right? But despite that... WOW! There are great razors in here already. Keep them coming! Don't be shy!

These are a couple of my razors (although these are not my pictures, they are from SRD). I'll get some fresh pics later, but thought I would join in.
This is a Livi/Bergamo with Mother of Pearl scales. The texture and colors of the tang and upper blade areas are really striking. An amazing piece of work.
This one is a Livi/Takeda with a snakewood handle. It's a beautiful razor in a very understated way. This was my first Livi and it is still a top shaver in my little stable.
Thanks for starting this club, Bill. I hope to see a lot more, including some New Grinds/ReGrinds.Last edited by Bill S; 04-20-2009 at 05:44 PM.
