This is an older originally 7/8 Rose pattern Livi that originally had warped Cocobolo scales on it... The second owner bought it with much needed edge work to be done... The blade came out to me and I evened up the bevel and sharpened it out... The test shave was one of the best I have ever had, BUT the owner just couldn't get it to shave, so I had him send it back re-checked the blade and again had a great shave, but I tweaked it up any way and sent it home..
I had told him that if he ever wanted to sell the razor to please let me know, as it was one of the easiest most comfortable shaves I had ever enjoyed... About a year later the PM came, asking if I was still interested and I bought her...
I took off the old scales and replaced them with White Pearl Acrylics and have loved the razor ever since...pictured here with Valobra Almond shave soap for the Italian connection

as the title says here is the best of my livis. Bergam Damask in Mammoth Ivory Scales. Pretty soon I will have pics with the rest of the livis I own and will post here.

The scales are beautiful on that Bergam and the file work is also great. I have a number of Livis including an early one and the filework has gotten progressively more artistic as time has gone on. He is one of the top custom makers IMHO, more an artist than a craftsman though his razors are as good as it gets in the shave department. Here is the early one and sorry that the photos aren't better. It was made before he signed them. Note the 3 pin scales and the 'ladder' Damascus.

My recent acquisition. It's a 7/8 ATS 34 with Olivewood. The blade was done with a special hardening process to give it a dark black chrome appearance. Amazing in person, almost iridescent. The pictures cannot due the blade justice. Amazing shaves.

Another entry to the club, fresh out of the Christmas wrapping it came in when Santa delivered it. A Livi French Point 7/8 in Ebano Africano Scales.
