Thanked: 0I just joined the club (and this forum)!
The Army saw fit to send me to Korea for a year. I packed extremely light, and left with only my beloved Gillette Fatboy. My straights all got greased up and packed away with the rest of my stuff. I underestimated how much I'd miss them, though, and ordered one of Larry's (Whipped Dog) Sight Unseen deals.
I expected some no-name razor, and was very surprised when this showed up. Obviously not the original scales, but aside from some damage on the nose, the blade is in surprisingly good shape. It's not very polished, but most of the discoloration you see is actually the oil in which it shipped.
I'd always wanted to try a Red Imp, having seen the bright, pretty scales and been intrigued by the mischevious trademark. Next step will be to polish the blade and (eventually) find some authentic scales for it.
Sorry for the crappy pictures; I didn't bring a decent camera, and my iphone really doesn't want to focus on the reflective metal. It's a 133, made by Case in USA.
Damage:

Thanked: 9I have a feeling my next RAD sympton may be a Red Imp. Maybe a blatantly obvious question but is the manufacturer Case the same company that makes tractors and other agricultural equipment? If so i will definitely need a straight to match the Steiger!

Thanked: 5I recently got my hands on a NOS Case Imp, and had it honed professionally for its first honing.
I got bit on the first shave. Much like in an earlier post in this thread, I made a nice vertical gash on one cheek due to the spike tip, and then proceeded to do the same to the other cheek. Luckily, these were only 1/4" cuts. I think I need to mute the tip before my next shave.
This is my first NOS razor; I really like the aesthetics of it.
