Size: 24.0 KBJust acquired this nice classic 14 style straight razor but have not been able to find out much about it in any of the shaving forums or via the Internet. I have never seen another 14 like this. Markings indicate it was Made in Solingen, Spanish translation is Mark of King. Nice full hollow blade 15/16” (.94”), little if any home wear, with probably celluloid scales, original nickel silver hardware. It has an inlay portrait of
King of Spain, Alfonso XIII who was King until 1931. Any additional information or comments would be appreciated. Thanks, Austin Name: 0359F346-88C4-491B-A5FF-2F01C2A4CE18.jpg

Nice looking razor. Anton Wingen used those inlaid ‘picture frames’ quite a bit, the Othello model, and a couple of other German makes used them too.

Nice looking razor! Are you planning on polishing up the blade or will you leave it as is?

Thank for this info. It does look similar to his Othello 1228 model.

Yes, I plan on getting rid of some of the minor rust on the blade. Have cleaned up several Filirmonicas and this should clean up nicely.

I have received my Filarmonica 14 today - Doble Temple JMP a bit worn around the heel and faded gold leaf.
The back of the tang has a inscription that I couldn't find anywhere online:
    Antonio Alvarez Lopez
    Regina
    Sevilla

    Any thoughts about it?
