Bob, those scales are common on late French razors - the pins are closer to the ends of the scales than most razors and the scales are cheap. The steel and workmanship however, are outstanding. Below, the Le Grelot 14 came in the red plastic sleeve, the TI Best Silver Steel in the black plastic sleeve, and the TI Bijou de France came in a case that’s likely from a shop or wholesaler and very definistely has that late 1960’s ‘orange shag carpet’ vibe to it. You know what I’m talking about, lol.

The TIs have the same tang stamp, but the BSS has an additional ‘14 7/8’ stamp.

Nice one Steve. I picked a couple of those Best Silver Steels TI's few years ago.

Here is a 8/8 I won on eBay.

@alex1921: nice razor and not a #14, even though it has the nice "swoop" in the back. Three pinners are also a bit of a rarity.

Back on topic gents: keep the # 14 pics coming!

It’s been a while since I’ve bought a razor. Here’s my recent acquisition, a Robert Klaas #14. My thanks to Robin for helping me secure it.
