    Default The Original SRD - S.R. Droescher Club

    Droescher razors deserve their own club. I'm a big fan of mine and I'm sure there are many more out there.


    My entry is a Black Smith that has been polished and honed up nicely after these photos were taken.

    Here is my first Delight - Droescher 5/8

    This was a gift from a co-worker, since then I have acquired six more Delights in an attempt to put together a seven day set - now I have to clean them up and make a box.

    Here's an interesting bit of Congressional testimony that seems to indicate that Droescher (a US manufacturer) probably began importing due to post-war currency and dumping pressure:


    Hmmm. I can't seem to paste it. Anyways, it's a fascinating read especially concerning the US straight razor producer sizing up of the german blades which he names and gives a surprisingly candid and honest opinion of.

    Droescher merged with Alexis Witte Cutlery around '29.
