I have 8 russian blades, from 1953- 1965 which I purchased as practice blades to learn how to hone. These have turned out to be some of my best shavers of all my 28 razors! Not a great photo but here is the seven day set:



I also purchased four Hungarian Flaschner blades from Master Flaschners shop in Budapest last summer
this he said was one of the first production Dovos he made


this one has the Flaschner family tree on the scales and the edge is still awesome after almost a year!


this one is a 4/8: stainless and shaves like a champ!

I've been searching for the past few months at street markets and vintage shops where I live here in Ukraine. Haven't had to many chances to go but have picked up a few razors that I'm looking for more information about. I've given these all a bit of a scrubbing, just a little baking soda and vinegar nothing serious.

I've found the following,
- Chika, the one with the thin blade, vintage condition.
- Raketa, that's the one with the little rocket, the blade on this one has some staining but is pretty decent
- ekctron, (my transliteration), also pretty decent condition
- and a N7 from stez, which is I think in quite good condition and the one I'm planning on trying to put to use.

Does anyone know about these makes? Are these good finds? I'm thinking about ebaying a few of them or putting them in the classifieds, does anyone have any suggestions on what they are worth.

The Stiz is a good brand, but we can't tell you a price, it all depends on the buyer.

I have ten blades very much like this, all found on ebay, from 1953 - 1968 and they ALL are excellent shavers. All take an edge easily and hold it well. I paid between 15 and 30 for anyone of them although the prices seem to have jumped.
