Theirs Issard 69 Frameback razor
Dear Gentlemen,
I'm thinning the herd a bit and in pursuit of shaving-Zen letting go of some blades that I enjoyed having, but that are either a bit too radical or too small. I'm in to straights for over six years now and have slowly come to realise which type of razor I like.
Hence, up for sale is this awesome Thiers Issard 69 frameback razor.
As you can see from the pictures it comes with an extra (unused) blade and the original screwdriver in the box intended to change the blade. I like the razor a lot, but it's just too small for my hands.
The bevel was set using the unicot method on a Select Coticule with one layer of tape on the spine.
The edge was finished with light X-strokes on a Select Coticule with two layers of tape on the spine.
The edge was polished on an Escher with light X-strokes with two layers of tape on the spine.
The razor was stropped on a Kanayama 80.000 strop.
It's shave ready by my standards.
I'm asking 110 USD for it and will ship it by registered mail to anywhere on the planet.
I will state the sold value on the customs duty form.
Only that way is it insured for the proper amount and can I take responsibility for sending the razor.
Import duties and taxes for your country are your own responsibility.
I'm open to other options for shipping, but will decline any responsibility in that case.
Paypal preferred.
For questions PM me. As per forum rules, I will sell this razor to the first person claiming to buy it in this thread.
Thanks for watching and thanks to SRP for these member classifieds.

I'm taking 10% off the price, bringing it just into the double digit range.
Will sell this for 99 USD.

Those razors are very good shavers and hone relatively easily. They keep a good edge also. Fun shavers! I love mine.
And knowing the seller, he does fine work and mellow edges. Start by reading all you can in the Library about shaving and caring for straight razors and stropping.
Welcome aboard!
