Thiers Issard 11/16 - Shave Ready


The blade measure 17.6mm which makes it 11/16 in size.


The tang is stamped 5/8 but like most French razors, the sizing is very conservative.


Made by one of the best straight makers in the world.


The scales have been replaced.


Really nice looking blade.


Honed on a progression of Shapton Ceramic Pro stones (1K, 2K, 5K, 8K and 12K)


The price is $85 which includes standard international postage to anywhere. If you want tracking it's an extra $8. Unfortunately Australia Post seem to think that tracking is a premium option.


A new TI 5/8 is $160 - $200 and IMHO doesn't shave anywhere near as good as a vintage / antique one.
