J.A. Henckels #72-1/2 Stainless 13/16" Half-Hollow French Point w/ Horn Scales
Offering one of my personal 'user' razors that doesn't get much use anymore: a 13/16 J.A. Henckels #72-1/2 stainless half-hollow grind French point w/ honey horn scales and camel bone wedge.
When I first got this razor, it had a ding on the back side of the spine and a matching cut across the back side scale. I had a piece of scrap honey horn handy, so I made a set of scales and a new wedge out of camel bone. The horn had some internal flaws that I managed to avoid, but there is one on the front side below the wedge pin. It has been stabilized with CA glue, but it is definitely visible. The last photo shows the scales after drilling with the flaw showing on the right hand end of the upper scale.
The razor is a great shaver, balances well, and is still a looker even with its couple of blemishes. It has been honed on a Nakayama Kan Kiita using a full Asano Mikawa Nagura progression (Botan, Tenjyou, Mejiro, Koma) and finished with Tomo slurry and then plain water. Honing was done using a single layer of tape.

If I didn't just buy a razor I would be all over this, absolutely love the scales. Trying to limit my acquisitions to only once a month.
