SOLD: Mastro Livi Custom 7/8, Mother of Pearl, stainless RWL34
"Amazing 7/8" Shoulder-less blade made of RWL 34 Stainless Steel with a beautifully worked spine. Jimps on the top and bottom of the shank. Such clean lines all the way to the extended tang. This blade is set in a wonderful set of Mother of Pearl Scales. The pictures do not show the incandescent colors of the Mother of Pearl well at all."
A few things you do not get when you buy from SRD or other vendors, but I value honesty. The blade is slightly off center when it closes as you can see in the picture I've included. It is not a functional issue (careful closing is a must for any razor anyways) and I know it could be corrected by two additional washers but I do not have the time to make it fit perfectly.
Also as you can see the jimps and the embellishments like the sunburst filework on the spine is typical Livi - italian flair, not german precision. That's his style, which I like, however I know that some people dislike and Livi razors are simply not for them. Of course, where the precision is crucial, such as in the grinding, it's perfect, but that's what makes him Mastro.
I also thought that at least for a time large single pieces of Mother of Pearl were next to impossible to get and very expensive, so those were supposed to be the last ones Livi made (and Dovo also couldn't make the genuine mother of pearl 41 stainless), but the market has probably changed again since then. A single piece mother of pearl scales is still highly exclusive, though.
Its box is made of olivewood - smells like italian olive oil
$830 including shipping in US - an absolute steal considering that it was €1250 over 5 years ago.

beautiful razor. almost looks like there's a slight twist to the blade making it off center. neat spine work too btw. congrats!

I don't see any twist to the blade, it's the fit of the tang/scales that makes the tip close off-center. I would guess part of it may be that MOP is much more difficult to work with than wood, but I don't really know.

One more thing worth noting - this razor was made by the Mastro himself. According to Lynn Abrams the current production may no longer be made mostly by him:
