C. V. Heljestrand MK No. 31, Horn Scales, Mammoth Ivory Wedge, Shave Ready
Offering one of my personal 'user' razors: an 11/16 C. V. Heljestrand (Eskilstuna, Sweden) MK No. 31 square point hollow grind in polished horn scales and mammoth ivory wedge with brass pins and stacked nickel silver washers. This razor is in excellent condition with minimal hone wear.
The razor is freshly honed on Japanese natural stones: sharpening and pre-finishing on a Shinden Hon Suita using a full Asano Mikawa Shiro Nagura progression (Botan, Tenjyou, Mejiro, Koma), and final finishing on an Nakayama Asagi Tomae with Tomo Nagura slurry and then plain water. Honing was done with a single layer of .007” tape.

Nice razor and scales. Mottled and streaked horn with a great blade always gets my attention.

Just beautiful! I'm so tempted but I already have 17 MK31's; yes, I love the shave they give! Good Luck with the Sale, someone will be very lucky to get this beautiful razor!
