Le Grelot - Shave Ready
The blade measures 17.4mm which makes it 11/16 in size.
Made by one of the worlds great factory makers. This is one of the much sought after vintage / antique P Hospital Le Grelot razors.
The scales look to be original
There is no rust but there is a bit of shallow pitting on the blade.
I also had to re-profile the heel of the blade due to some poor previous honing.
The grind looks to be about a half hollow to my eye.
Honed on a progression of Shapton Ceramic Pro stones (1K, 2K, 5K, 8K and 12K)
The price is $59 which includes standard international postage to anywhere. If you want tracking it's an extra $8. Unfortunately Australia Post seem to think that tracking is a premium option.Last edited by johnmrson; 06-19-2017 at 04:20 AM.
