Thread: Damascus razor for sale

Up for sale is this Damascus razor. It's an excellent shaver. I am putting it up for sale because it's the first twist Damascus I made, and there is a small welding flaw in the spine.Some of the twist boundaries on the spine didn't close fully. I turned those into filework, but you can see near the shoulders there is a weld that is still visible.

This is perfectly harmless but also means I cannot sell it for normal price. I've already tried to sell it once for a fixed price on my FB page and it didn't go so I want to do it different this time and let the market decide what it is worth. This will be sold by auction. The starting bid is 125 US$ and includes shipping. The auction will run until Friday evening 9 PM pacific standard time.

What's the grind and will the spinework-flaw damage a strop?

The grind is just between half hollow and quarter hollow. The spinework will not damage a strop. The bad weld is only visible just between the spine and the blade hollows but it doesn't have any actual real consequence.
