6/8 Daishi 350 Western Kamisori, Tamahagane Steel, Shave Ready
My wife and I are celebrating our 30th Anniversary in a few weeks, and my plans have gone a tad over budget. Therefore, I'm selling a few razors and stones to help foot the bill:
Offering a very clean 6/8 Daishi #350 Western Kamisori in Tamahagane steel, in original faux tortoiseshell plastic scales and tan wedge. This razor is in very good condition, with moderate Kamisori-type hone wear and some light scratching on the blade. I have done nothing to this razor except to hone it (Jnats with Nagura only) and shave.
The razor is freshly honed on Japanese natural stones: sharpening and pre-finishing on a Shinden Hon Suita using a full Asano Mikawa Shiro Nagura progression (Botan, Tenjyou, Mejiro, Koma), and final finishing on an Nakayama Asagi Tomae with Tomo Nagura slurry and then plain water. Honing was done without tape.
