One Blade - Core model
If you have been thinking of giving a One Blade razor a go you may want to try out the newly released "Core" model. It reflects the basic engineering principles of the top of the line One Blade at a fraction of the cost. This set of mine comes with an additional 10 blades.
"One Blades" comments on the core model are as follows:
"Our new OneBlade CORE razor carries the same signature patent-pending design profile of our signature all-stainless steel, award-winning OneBlade GENESIS razor... but is built using Tritan ™, an engineer-grade polymer (plastic), with a 304 stainless steel rod inserted into the handle core for an added, balanced weight. Blending elements of the traditional safety razor with updated technology, the end result is a never-before-seen marriage of shaving performance and comfort."
$50 includes priority mail in CONUS.

I would suggest holding off to the rest of your for now, especially if you are outside the US. Currently, you can return it, though shipping on International can make that cost prohibitive.
I have a OneBlade Stainless, which provides the benefits of classic shaving with no skill required - BBS every time. At the same time, they have a history of actions that have upset many customers. Fo0r example, they bring products to the market before working the bugs out. They did so with the stainless version and have done it again with the Core. They'll work it out, though it will take a while.
Here are a couple of comments: "I got a chance to talk to OneBlade's CEO about the Core launch today. He acknowledged several issues with the first production run: broken springs, blade insertion issues, too-gentle shave, etc. They made at least four engineering changes to address those issues. Cosmetic issues (plastic seems) are on their radar too but they wanted to address the functional issues first."
Fortunately, these are plastic injection moulded in California, so they can resolve problems more quickly that the stainless which is made in China.
The Core does not deliver the same shaving experience as the stainless version - comments from those with both versions have been that it isn't well balanced like the stainless version.
While my OneBlade delivers a great shave, I don't enjoy shaving with it as I like a shave that requires skill. It's great when I'm in a hurry.
One day a week or two ago I had to leave very early in the morning, yet had business meetings the next afternoon. I did an aggressive shave the night before. Afterwards, 95% of my face was so smooth that I couldn't feel any roughness going against the grain.
The next morning, it was as if I had just shaved. I was looking good the next afternoon.
Also, I prefer PTFE coated GEM blades to the Feather 10s. You to remove the spine, though it's really easy.Last edited by Pete123; 07-13-2017 at 01:37 AM.

Say! That is the Japanese Feather knock-off for an Autostrop blade?

It needs to be added here that Pete did not realize he was posting on a sale thread. He apologized for his error and all is well.
