8/8+ Rigarazor French Point Quarter Hollow, Blackwood Scales, Shave Ready
I've decided to limit my collection to vintage Sheffield razors and am therefore selling off everything else. This is the last non-Sheffield razor in my collection, and I had to think long and hard before deciding to sell it. However, I just prefer my Victorian Sheffields and I need the money. I am selling it for exactly what I paid for it last month.
Offering a near new 8/8+ Rigarazor quarter hollow ground French point, in African blackwood scales and horn wedge. This razor was bought new at auction one month ago and is in near new condition. The only thing that I have done is to very slightly mute the point (visible in the photos) and put a Jnat edge on it.
The razor is freshly honed on Japanese natural stones: sharpening and pre-finishing on a Shinden Hon Suita using a full Asano Mikawa Shiro Nagura progression (Botan, Tenjyou, Mejiro, Koma), and final finishing on a Nakayama Asagi Tomae with Tomo Nagura slurry and then plain water. Honing was done with a single layer of .007" tape.
