Thread: Le Grelot and Heljestrand - Shave Ready

Offering up two straights as a package deal.

1st.
Le Grelot - Shave Ready
The blade measures 17.4mm which makes it 11/16 in size.
The scales look to be original
There is no rust but there is a bit of shallow pitting on the blade.
I also had to re-profile (round off) the heel of the blade due to some poor previous honing.
The grind looks to be about a half hollow to my eye.


2nd.
CV Heljestrand - Shave Ready
The blade measures 18.2mm which makes it between11/16 and 6/8 in size.
This is a Mark No 42.
The scales look to be original
There is no rust but there is a bit of shallow pitting on the blade.
The grind looks to be very stiff. A quarter hollow?

Both honed on a progression of Shapton Ceramic Pro stones (1K, 2K, 5K, 8K and 12K)

The price of both is $85 which includes standard international postage to anywhere. If you want tracking it's an extra $8. Unfortunately Australia Post seem to think that tracking is a premium option.

$85 is too good of a deal. I'll take them .

Gabs that's a very unique grind, I've not seen it on other CVH razors. Very nice acquisition to be sure! I can't wait to hear how it shaves.
