Auction of C V Heljestrand no.31 ivory scales
I've decided to offer this razor at auction as i don't know what it's worth and am looking for maximum return (saving for a 12k). I will start the bid at $50 and end it on Saturday Aug. 19 at 8pm eastern time. Shipping 7.25 priority mail Conusa only(not sure about international shipping on ivory and wouldn't want to risk confiscation).
There are a few condition issues that you should be aware of: i honed a small chip out of it and had to reshape the toe slightly to get rid one of them. There is also some warp to the blade which makes the bevel uneven. it still makes contact with the hone just a tiny bevel on one side. the stabilizers also make contact with the hone so they will have to be reshaped or avoided when honing. I would not consider it shave ready. It measure a good 5/8s and the scales are in excellent condition.

Thanked: 1936$80, descent lil razors!
AreaMan, those "natural" scales on that vintage razor are very likely original to the razor and to my knowledge they didn't use bone ever.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
