Le Grelot 68 "Le Roi Soleil", 5/8

For those who know the brand Le Grelot, you don’t need me to tell you how good are these razors. They are absolutely great! this Le Grelot 68 “Le Roi Soleil” had a never been used, however it had some pitting because of storage, which was completely removed. It is listed as 5/8, but it’s almost 11/16. It has the original letter of warranty and it’s beautiful original red case with the “Le Grelot” logo. This is one of the big brands of vintage French razors.. don’t miss the change to add it to your collection!

The blade is Shave Ready (for my taste). Honed with one layer of electrical tape on Naniwa Progression: Chosera 1k -> Aotoshi 2k -> Chosera 3k -> Chosera 5k -> Junpaku 8k, SS 12k, and finished in Suehiro Gokumyo 20K. As I said, comfortable shaving for me (that means, my beard, skin, technique etc…), but maybe some more stropping is required for your taste. After testing, blade is cleaned and a thin coat of camellia oil is applied.
