Henry Sears & Son (Prussia) 551I: "Queen" 5/8
Hello Folks,
This is a Queen 5/8 fro Henry sears Prussia made between 1883-1897, you can research on this forum about what kind of blade it is, no need for me to tell you that it will worth every penny, and those who have used one of these "Prussia" will more likely be the first to offer to buy it. I’m not lying to you when I say that after honing it yesterday and testing for shave ready, I really had a hard time to post it here. These henry sears & Son Prussia razors are just great shavers.
The scales have "Queen" text on them, very worn but still visible and the Half Hollow blade is marked "Queen 5/8", centered when closing in the nicely tight scales.
The blade is Shave Ready (for my taste). Honed with one layer of electrical tape on Naniwa Progression: Chosera 1k -> Aotoshi 2k -> Chosera 3k -> Chosera 5k -> Junpaku 8k, SS 12k, and finished in Suehiro Gokumyo 20K. As I said, comfortable shaving for me (that means, my beard, skin, technique etc…), but maybe some more stropping is required for your taste. After testing, blade is cleaned and a thin coat of camellia oil is applied.
International shipping included on the price (I only use tracked post for the sake and peace of mind of both parties, and the basic shipping that's included in this price is 15 to 20 business days is. This is what the post office give as estimate time, I’ve seen most of the times it takes less, but I guess this is for them to be safe). If you want it a bit faster, let me know and I can quote. International shipping rates to other countries might vary just a bit ( 1 or 2 bucks at the most), please contact me to check.
To be paid within 3 days with Paypal F&F (come on guys price is very low already, I can do G&S but you’ll have to cover the 5% fee from Paypal). Will do my best to ship the next day after payment but else, no more than 3 business days.
Price: $75
