Thread: 2 Ivory Heljestrand Mk 31s

2 Heljestrand Mk 31 razors with ivory scales. One blade is engraved with, “A-B Melanderska Jarnhandeln, Upsala.” Am guessing this was the original owner? I wouldn’t consider the blades shave ready—probably can be touched up vs. have new bevels set and etc. The pins on the Mk 31 that's not engraved could do with a tightening.

Hi. Two things please.

1. The scales look to be in good condition from the pictures. Could you comment on their condition — very good to excellent, in your judgment? Any pitting or signs of strain or weakness?

2. Could you post a picture of the scales showing the wedge, and also from the other end?

“A-B Melanderska Järnhandeln, Upsala.” Järnhandeln is Swedish for ironmonger.
