Thread: JA Henckels Fridour 472 - 13/16 (nice spine work & box)

One my favorite razors brand/type.. the legendary Friodur type on it's 472 version. Full hollow with a super beautiful work on the spine. Great condition on blade and scales! These razors are Inox, and can take a super wicked edge with almost no effort on the hones... awesome for everyday use... they do hold the edge and the maintenance is way less taxing being Inox (stainless). Like I said, this blade is in just a great shape! Very very low hone wear and 13/16!

The blade is Shave Ready (for my taste). Honed with one layer of electrical tape on Naniwa Progression: Chosera 1k -> Aotoshi 2k -> Chosera 3k -> Chosera 5k -> Junpaku 8k, SS 12k, and finished in Suehiro Gokumyo 20K, and then stropped on 0.3 CrOx & 0.1 FeOx (paper strops) followed by latigo strop and then kanayama (40 laps each strop). As I said, comfortable shaving for me (that means, my beard, skin, technique etc…), but maybe some more stropping is required for your taste. After testing, blade is cleaned and a thin coat of camellia oil is applied.

I only use tracked post for sake and peace of mind of both parties (to be covered by buyer), but no worries! Regular International shipping to the US & Canada is only: $5 (around 30 business days is what the post office give as estimate time, IME it always takes less but I guess this is their max time to be safe).
