6/8 Hoshi Tombo 6000 Western-Style Kamisori, Shave Ready
Some of you may remember that I have had to stop using straight razors due to worsening neuropathy and have sold off my razor collection over the last few months. Here is one that slipped through the cracks because it was in my travel kit:
Offering a 6/8 Hoshi Tombo 6000 western-style kamisori, in original plastic scales and wedge. The blade is clean with some light pitting but none near the edge. The scales and wedge are the original plastic and the pins appear to be original. There is moderate hone wear, not enough to affect the blade geometry. There is some rust staining at the pivot point.
The razor was freshly honed before it went into my travel kit last Fall, and I have refreshed it on a Nakayama Asagi Tomae with Tomo Nagura slurry and then plain water.
