To be honest, nothing it came in with a perfect edge, no matter what razor comes my way it will always have my edge regardless who honed it.

I am the same for the biggest part. I will shave a few times iff a good edge...but then I either rehone or refinish.

Dave's was the exception. It was one of the earlier ones.

It was a small overlook in grinding. He said they needed honed back a bit more to get past the over hardened edge.
    It's been resolved since then.

When Dave's showed up, I about crapped myself. I'd never seen, let alone hone a 10/8ths Razor. The spine is so thick, I had to use two layers of tape...one down each side of the blade, with the edges centered on top of the spine. A massive chunk of steel, but incredibly well balanced and made. It flowed so smoothly on the stones....so heavenly.
But talk about hard.!! That tungsten is something...
And the shave....like a hot knife through warm butter.

I think Dave said , like using the spine to wipe off the lather.
