7/8(ish) Wade & Butcher, 1860’s, Shave Ready
This 1860’s Wade & Butcher is what I call their ‘meat & potatoes’ pattern. It’s a beefy, wedgie wedge with a slight taper from the point to the heel, with the heel being the narrower end.
Unfortunately the original scales could not be saved. In what I’m sure became a legendary stink, passed down through generations, someone burned a hole through the wedge end.
I’ve made new scales in the same pattern and given them a small upgrade, as the originals had the wedge integrated into the horn. The washers are Austin’s superb recreations. The new wedge is non-toxic Bismuth/tin alloy, also polished to a mirror shine.
The blade is reground to reduce what was originally a very wide bevel. The blade face has a mirror polish and the tang is glazed.
I’m asking $165, delivered anywhere in the CONUS. Please contact me for a shipping quote for anywhere outside that area. Paypal only.
This razor is shave ready, and I think it’ll give you a lifetime of service.Last edited by Voidmonster; 03-21-2018 at 02:43 AM. Reason: Forgot to mention payment method
