Thread: 11/16 Mappin & Webb - Quarter Hollow

Unfortunately this razor has some devil's spit, otherwise it would be perfect.
Jimps on the bottom of the fancy tang and non-bone natural scales.

I'm about 90% sure I honed this razor, but I honestly don't really remember.

I'd like $155 shipped with tracking within the US, but feel free to make an offer.

I can't hone, would you be able to make shave ready? I'm getting ready to polish up some other blades, new for me...can the "Devils spit" be polished off?

A few members are having a discussion about the rust spot on the edge... Could you maybe describe the impact this has on the razor's ability to take a good edge? Is it deep, or would you say you can get a clean bevel?

Maybe you can't see it in the photo, but it doesn't go to the edge. The bevel is clean, and from how it cuts hairs, I'm 99% sure I honed and shaved with this razor. Given that the blade is a quarter hollow, it's not an issue.

Nice form but I think I'm too new to make a good judgement...if it shaves and holds a bevel I'm sure it will make someone with more knowledge very happy. Wish you luck in the sale. Thank you for your response.
