Default Wade & Butcher 7/8+ Full Hollow

Big Wade & Butcher Full Hollow . $227 shipped to the US. Contact me first if you want it shipped to Canada so we can figure out if additional shiping cost are involved. Sorry, I won’t ship to other non-US places anymore due to problems with blades disappearing.

The blade is a bit wider than 7/8 at the heel (0.894 in) and then widens to almost 15/16 (0.914 in). Scales are NOT horn - probably stock scales from the early 20th century. As with most wide blades, the photos make it appear almost as if it’s a shorty, but blade length is the basic 3 inches long. There are a few small stains I left on the blade just to avoid any possibility of changing blade geometry and the scales are tight and in great shape. Obviously a few small pits were left alone as well. All can be seen in the photos.

Bought this one about 7 years ago and it needed little effort to restore. I cleaned as much of the inside scale surfaces as possible, and did very light sanding and polishing to the blade itself. Not entirely sure if this is the original grind or if it was professionally reground into full hollow decades ago. Either way It’s a very nice shaver, and takes a great edge. Selling it because I tend to not use large full hollow grinds much anymore because of the angular face I have sitting atop this neck.

The only care and feeding notes are that I use a single layer of electrical tape when sharpening a blade, so you or your honemeister will want to do the same - unless you’re going to reset the bevel for some reason. Just refreshed the edge on this using the Escher, CrOx paste, hard felt, and strop. Then test shaved a part of my face - followed by a good soak in Barbisol, rinsed and dried, and wrapped for shipping.

I’ve been away from selling any blades for a few years so am completely unsure as to what to ask for this one since I don’t recall what I paid. I’d do an auction here for it but haven’t yet figured out how to accomplish that. I hope the asking price is close to what’s fair to us both - seems to be around what I see on the Bay and here if not too low. In any case, you’ll be pleased with this one if you like big hollow ground shavers.

I deeply appreciate you're specifying you'd ship to Canada, I feel you had me held dearly in your heart....LOL!!!

Alas, I recently was scolded by the wife when I attempted to purchase another razor recently from the forum, my heart is forlorn, as there are now two beautiful razors that will never be mine.

Spectacular razor, someone going to be very lucky to get that blade....GLWTS!! :-)

Normally I'd have to think about it, but since you and a few other friends are there, well, I just HAVE to include our favorite neighbors to the north!

PRICE DROP - $147. Still learning appropriate price points here. Seems I listed this one too high so I'm dropping it. Again, contact me first if you want it sent to Canada so we can see if anything additional is required.
