Thread: 4 x Twin sets (for the restorer) 3 are Sheffield one is German.

4 Twin sets for sale asking $299 for the all 4 which is a Bargain, I acquired these overtime, but just dont have time to sort em out, the J Weiss set is lovely esp with the Original ebony wood case one little piece missing from the case, Ive only ever seen 2 others of these, I atleast one of em had the same piece missing, the push clasp works great, once restored the set would be worth the asking price of all 4 sets!!!!!



Both Razors are 11/16 in size a lovely shape at the heel, I think these are from 1830's It maybe possible to pin point it even more exact that that due to it saying j weiss and NOT sons as well, also the address 62 Strand as they did move factory a few times I believe. yes there are some cracks in the scales but they could be glued or replaced,



Next is a pair of blades, German Solingen in origin, and stamped GEBR.KORTE Solingen with and Eagle on the other side of the tang. both are 6/8 in size.



The next two are 5/8++ just under 11/16 imho (17mm) Stamped H. HOBSON Warranted, and etched on the side of the spine it says Prince of Wales Razor, with Barbers Notch.




And the last pairing Stamped DYER, Plymouth, again natural scales only one has a small crack near the pivot point but still solid, scales have been etched, the blade sizes are approx 11/16 by approx I mean one is a fraction under and the other is a fraction over, again barbers notches.

IMHO all 3 Sheffield sets are 1800's so True vintage.
