Thanks for your thoughts, Richard. Yes, it's an impressive razor in every way.

One of these days i am goung to try one of these. I have no doubt its a nice one.

What I like about the SS model is that the edge is rounded and that feature makes the razor more forgiving, as compared to the DX model. The rounded edge tempers the blade's initial impact on the skin, as well as help lift the hairs so that the blade can cut. I think this is the best way I can explain this feature.

I've had all the series of the Feather AC razors and like this the most, especially in the Scotch Wood handle. Were it not for my upcoming knee operation (August 3), which falls in the middle of my planned travel that now has been cancelled, I would have kept the razor. It's a sweet shaver.
