    Beautiful blades and even more beautiful scales! Do you have any information on scales' origin? Would be very interesting to know.

    I'm sure they come from a hand fan or eventail. The fans have end pieces that are useable in razor scales, and were made in ivory, pearl, tortoise, etc. The pearl ones often have inlays or designs like this. You can see the patterns are not centered on the razor scale.
