Gentlemen,
Ralf Aust razors take a superb edge. This one has. It's a great shaver, and it is in mint condition. I think I have used it less than a handful of times. Arthritis has caught up with me and that's why I now limit my straight razor shaving. The razor is shave ready. I also have some arthritis in my fingers that makes it difficult using a straight razor some days. One thing that does seem to help me is drinking a glass of Montmorency cherry juice every day. The tart cherry juice is loaded with anti-inflammatory compounds. If I go more than a couple of days without the juice, my knuckles lock up. It is not always easy to find at grocery stores, but it is worth looking for. Unfortunately, it has 29g of sugar per 8 ounce glass, even if no sugar is added.
I have a RA 6/8 Spanish point with African blackwood scales. It is one of my favorite razors. LouG got himself a nice razor.
